The founders, Ramos Mays and Mark Pydynowski trace their partnership to Washington University in St. Louis.

The team claims Bob Van Schoick, 30 year cattle industry executive, as a director and advisor. The product development  team includes 18 engineers with expertise in microfluidics, advanced materials and RF systems.

RAMOS M. MAYS
Ramos, the inventor of Somark’s technology, is a broad technologist with professional training including condensed matter physics, intelligent materials, electromagnetics, systems design and computer engineering. He possesses first-hand knowledge of the industry, since he was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Southwest, MO. Ramos claims the experience of three startups, all of which were e-Commerce/software based. Ramos oversees SOMARK’s research & development efforts in addition to setting its technological vision.  Ramos was a MIT TR 35 award nominee.

MARK C. PYDYNOWSKI
Mark began his entrepreneurial career early in life as the sole-proprietor of a lawn care service while still a teenager. During his undergraduate studies, he partnered with Mays on an IT service based start-up. His previous industry experience includes business development at a New York management consulting firm. Mark leads SOMARK’s daily operations and is responsible for the company’s strategic initiatives. Additionally, he is a board member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis and steering committee member of the young professional group, GenNext.  Mark received the St. Louis Business Journal's 30 under 30 award in 2007.
