The Digitail Injector features a reusable handheld unit and a single-use disposable cartridge. Using a 21-gauge needle, this animal ID injector implants the Digitail™ Tag quickly and with minimal discomfort into the rodent’s tail.

This system offers a unique and improved method for tagging rodents: rather than pushing the tag into the tissue, the tag remains securely in place as the needle retracts, ensuring safe and reliable digital identification.

A Unique Way to Restrain Your Mouse

Implanting the Digitail™ Tag in the tail allows a single technician to complete the procedure efficiently. To simplify the process further, we provide a specially designed restraint that keeps the technician’s hands free during implantation.

The restraint secures the tail while allowing the mouse to move comfortably under the red dome. The tail cannot be pulled away, and unlike traditional tube restraints, the mouse is not pulled backwards or compressed, ensuring a safer and gentler experience.

This combination of restraint and animal ID injector technology minimizes stress for both the mouse and the technician, making tagging safer, faster, and more precise.
